Luis Barroso & Desiree Jones
Luis moved to the Treasure Valley in the late 80’s
He decided in high school to focus on his love for automobiles and has been an automotive technician since.
After working for a local dealerships and a few private companies, he secured a position working for the state of Idaho
Desiree grew up in Portland. She moved to the Treasure Valley in the late 90’s and never looked back.
After a few years in the work force she was blessed with a temp job that has turned into 19 years at a local label printing company
Desiree and Luis were full-time single parents when they were introduced by their kids in 2011.
They became a family of 6 in 2013, welcoming their 4th daughter
They spend as much time as possible camping in the summers and recently found a love for paddle boarding if there is a lake nearby.
The other 3 seasons are spent playing on their property, Taeknowdo classes for their youngest (and only one left at home), tending to their chickens, and spending time with family and friends
Luis spends most of his free time in his shop and Desiree loves crafting and planning themed parties.
In 2019 their first grandchild was born and they realized shortly after the great need for quality childcare.
They were further motivated by the Covid-19 Pandemic and decided they wanted to provide the community with a daycare center that understands the realities of working families and respects parental choices.
Surprisingly, they never crossed paths although Luis grew up with Laura’s brother and Desiree met her in 2004 as her own daughter’s daycare teacher. Although they are still getting to know Daisy, we all know she is a great fit to the astounding care we are providing!
They are honored for the opportunity to make amazing experiences at Mother Goose for your little ones.
Laura Drew or "Mrs Laura"
Hi
I enjoy everything outdoors as I am a Idaho native. On nice weekends you can find me at the water, whether it's fishing or just enjoying the sunshine. I have 3 children, my daughter is 18 and is attending beauty school and I have 2 sons, 13 and 9, both enrolled in football. Another great love of mine is animals! I've raised pigs, chickens, goats, cows and turkeys. I have 2 dogs and a cat.
I am a caretaker by nature. Not only have I been in childcare since my teenage years, I have found great pleasure in caring for those nearing end of life as well. In 2007 I received a certificate in Medical Assistance and have enjoyed working alongside local doctors. I know it can be hard to leave your children with strangers but I will do everything I can to make it as fun and smooth of a transition as possible. I look forward to getting to know you and your little ones.

Hello!
I may not have been born in Idaho, but I got here as fast as I could! My family moved here in 2016 and when I first visited I absolutely fell in love with the big open skies, beautiful landscapes, and freedoms this state provides. My husband and I were married in 2019, and moved to Idaho less than a year later. Last year we welcomed our precious baby girl, Meadow Mae, into the world! I stayed home with her until I received this amazing opportunity to get back to my passion of working with children, while being able to bring my daughter along.
I have an adventurous soul that yearns to be outdoors! Nearly every weekend of my summer is spent camping and exploring a new corner of Idaho. I enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, and swimming in our rivers. In the cooler seasons I enjoy attending community events like farmers markets, harvest festivals, holiday events, and simply supporting my community as much as I can!
I have known since I was a teenager that my passion, interest, and skills lie in working with children. I started as a babysitter and continued on to work as a tutor, assistant preschool teacher, nanny, and most recently as an elementary reading co-teacher. I have an associate degree in child development and am currently pursuing my bachelor's in elementary education.
I am looking forward to this next endeavor in my life as a working mom. I am excited to return to doing what I love. I cannot wait to share special moments and make lasting memories with the children I will have the honor to care for here at Mother Goose!

Hi, I'm Janessa! I was born in Idaho but have been back and forth from the East Coast my whole life. I met my fiancé 3 years ago, and we now have 2 beautiful babies together. We enjoy the outdoors, hanging out with family, and movie nights at home. I grew up babysitting all my siblings and cousins. I’ve always loved kids and couldn't wait to have my own. Although I'm young I adore being a mom. I started my first teaching job at Mother Goose in January 2023 and love it. I am so honored to get the opportunity to care for all of your kids. It is a pleasure to see their smiling faces every day

Hello! My husband and I wed in 2019, welcomed our first daughter in 2020 and our second in 2021. I love raising them in Idaho, where we both grew up. Our house is always full of energy with our two dogs, one cat, and a corn snake. When we're not busy with sports games, horseback riding, or camping, I enjoy working with children. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and experience working in kindergarten and 4th grade, as well as large daycare centers with children ranging from 2 months and up to preschool age. I was thrilled for the opportunity to transition to a smaller center and have been thoroughly enjoying teaching preschool at Mother Goose. I look forward to meeting all of you and seeing the progress your children will make while in my care.
